Crock Pot Oatmeal

Are your mornings hectic? Trying to get kids fed, dressed and schoolbags prepared along with getting ready for your day.

Here’s an easy breakfast from book Weelicious that can be prepped the night before. Just toss ingredients into the crock pot and by morning a nutritious meal is ready to start your day. It tastes fresh and yummy no matter what time it is eaten it in morning. I even refrigerate the leftovers.

Crock Pot Oatmeal

Steel cut oats are made from the whole grain so less processed and lower glycemic index. Contains fiber that will make you be full and STAY full.

Crock Pot Oatmeal
4-6 servings

1 cup steel-cut oats

2 1/2 cups milk (I use unsweetened almond milk)

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 cups diced apple

1/2 cup chopped walnuts (or nut of choice)

1/2 cup raisins

1. Place all ingredients in crock pot and stir.

2. Turn on crock pot to low heat. Set it and forget it.

3. Serve with optional granola. Can keep on warm setting.
